Is there anything called real success or failure in life?

This is the most sought question around the globe. There is always a constant  tussle between success and failure. Rather than trying to answer the above question first let us understand “what is self-realisation?”Realisation is not a big ambiguous word to understand .But still it plays a vital role in life. As we know realisation is nothing but understanding a event, incident etc. Usually learning happens after realisation.  In exams and tests, first learning takes place and then one attends test .But in real life, first test takes place in the form of personal experiences and then learning follows. A person who realises better in life is considered successful. Those people are one who will have long term goals and will strive to achieve it. These people can forsee things properly. This “self-realisation” comes under the category of intelligence (not knowledge). People with even “zero knowledge ” and with “high intelligence” are the one who achieve more than the people with “zero intelligence” and with “high intelligence” can achieve. For example Mahatma Gandhi, he was not an outstanding student in the school. But still he was strong in his belief about non –violence and was able to mobilise people and achieve freedom through non-violence which many world leaders felt it as impossible to achieve this task without bloodshed. We were able to spread information of floods which happened in Chennai because we relied on social network and media more than newspapers. But without any proper communication medium in those days, he was able to mobilise huge crowds and get freedom. This shows how strong his belief system was then. A strong belief comes out of self-reaisation or self-awareness. How to get this so called “self realisation”. Obvious answer is honesty. It is always not necessary for someone to be honest to the people around them. It is very necessary for someone to be honest to oneself. Honesty will tell how much is a person capable of or how much potential has one got. Everyone is born with equal potentials .But very few utilise them. No one knows any one’s potential in this world. No one knows a seed when germinated whether grows into a huge banyan tree or it grows into a mere mango tree. Life is all about rediscovering oneself ie, hidden potential. To bring out these hidden potential, there are many tools which can be used. These are nothing but often heard words- hard work, perseverance, humility , motivation etc. So, to conclude and answer the above raised question there is no real success or failure but there is always constant learning  ie, self-realisation.

NOT FLOODS BUT MISGOVERNANCE WAS THE MAJOR DISASTER WHICH HAD OCCUERED

What contributed much to Chennai floods?
It is said that a part of flood could have been avoided if the government had taken any meticulous effort. That too Tamil Nadu being second to none in human capital, entrepreneurial talent and natural resources, it is obvious that government should have some infrastructure in place to contain this kind of disaster. Nowadays well-being of the people is not decided by the resources that one state has but the kind of politics which is in play.
LACK OF AWARENESS BETWEEN PUBLIC GOODS AND PRIVATE GOODS
Public goods -means infrastructure, basic health facilities ,education and any long lasting policies for the well-being of people.
Private goods –means as we all know things like mixie,  grinder, television etc. Most importantly liquor distribution.
Government has created a illusion which made people handicapped in differentiating between the above two. At last,  people are made to believe that private goods are nitty-gritty for the human life. So , private goods are distributed in the name public goods. It is easy for anyone to get in touch personally if someone gifts another, that is the way the government of Tamil Nadu got in touch with the people playing vote bank politics. When tsunami hit Tamil Nadu in 2004,the report says that in  Nagapattinam district, half of the money given to the people as a relief package by the government  is consumed by men spending on liquor. This looks like government gives the money and gets it back through TASMAC. Government not only gains money out of it but also encourages violence against women at home. At the end,  government does nothing to the people but adds violence and disharmony in the society. All these happens because people get attracted towards short time benefits ignoring long time goals. But sadly very few people realised how much a party would gain out of distributing private goods rather than expanding public goods which made the people pay the price for this ignorance very recently in the form of floods.

RESPONSIBLE INDIAN

Who is responsible for the incident which took place in Nirbaya's life?
As everyone thinks that people who are involved in the gangrape are only responsible. If it is the case , we are looking at only the smaller picture, we should try to focus on the the roots of the problem which led to this kind of incident. I have done some research on this issue. According to the National Crime Records Bureau 2013 annual report, 24,923 rape cases were reported across India in 2012. Out of 24,923 cases, Nirbaya's is one among those. There are many other cases which went unreported. But her incident alone sparked a big outraged and resulted in public agitation in 2012. I would say that all these incidents happen because of lack of education, lack of awareness and most importantly unequal opportunity provided to the wide strata of our society. Most of the heinous crimes are not commited by  well educated people but by someone who is from low income group or who are deprived of basic education. It is said that India's per capita income is 5350(US dollars). Does it mean on an average every Indian citizen earns that much money? No,not at all. These numbers shows the gap between the rich and the poor. It is said that India’s richest 10 per cent holds 370 times the share of wealth that it’s poorest hold. This shows how rich dominate poor. This figure shows how much is the poor people deprived of equal opportunities in our country .By saying this i am not accusing rich people alone. If this kind of situation prevails, I don't think any kind of heinous crimes be prevented. It will keep erupting until we find any concrete solutions for the upliftment of the poor.Without addressing this, no kind of juvenile bill will help solve the problem. Our elected representative should realise the need for the whole set of reforms.
This is our collective responsibility as a citizen of our country to share this shortcomings and resolve it. So, there is no point in blaming the people who are carved out of the society in which we are also a part of and which made them commit these crimes. We youths should raise our voice atleast now before it becomes too late.
Let us be the change that we want to see  in the world.
